Thinking Out Loud

I finally drummed up the courage to remove all of the 2X4 studs and make a real opening between the living room and dining room yesterday.

I had Aaron Ireland help me – someone needed to know what they were doing. We built the temporary walls on each side, and went at it. To my surprise, it only took about an hour and a half to do.

I saved the temporary walls (they are leaned up against the living room window for the time being) because my “to-do” list has at least one more wall that has to come down. That’s the wall beside the stairs.

Progress is slow and sporadic, I know that. But, me and the dog are the only ones who have to live in the mess. It would be nice to get it cleaned up just for a while though.
