More music trivia
Day by Day September 29th, 2007I have no idea where this one came from. I don’t remember it at all – but I like it.
It was one of the 45 RPM records in the box that has been living in my basement for several years. I have two questions to test your oldie and goldie trivia knowledge. The song is from 1961, and was recorded more or less as a joke, from a segment of a British TV series
- Who recorded the song (as listed on the record label)
- Who was it really?
[audio:Frankfurter_Sandwiches.mp3]
Although I have no way of verifying it, make your best shot WITHOUT a google (or yahoo, or whatever) search.
WARNING: I found that if you listen to it more than once, it’s one of those stupid songs that get stuck in your head, that you just want to go away… daah da da da dah duh Frankfurter sandwiches, Frankfurter Sandwiches…

I’ve probably infringed on a few copyright laws by putting the whole song up here, but it IS a recording from an old mono 45, and I couldn’t find it on any of the legitimate (that means pay for your music) web sites. So if I get a “remove or else” notice I’ll remove the mp3 file
