Thinking Out Loud

I like to watch TV channels like Discovery, Civilization, History, etc. I can usually find something that is interesting and maybe even educational.

The other night, I had the Animal Planet channel on, and in the “coming up next” promos was a show on the “fascinating and deadly vampire fish recently discovered in South America”. It seems I’ve been adding posts to my blog, but neglecting to push the right button to have them published.

So there’s a batch here that should have been posted before, but instead were just saved to my private space. There’s nothing too exciting. so you haven’t missed much…

I liked Atari. I even liked the original Nintendo. The Super Nintendo was almost too much for me, and by the time Play Sation came along I was lost.

The games got to be WAY too complicated for me. There were too many buttons, too many combinations of buttons, too much happening. It wasn’t fun any more. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s official…

I have a new job with SaskWater. I officially begin working (for real) on the 19th of November, but I have orientation, and training and other preliminary stuff before that. It’s casual employment – that means they call me when no one else will work, I think – so I’m sure I’ll be working a lot of stat holidays and such. Read the rest of this entry »
