Maui – the first day
Day by Day, Photos April 29th, 2010
I moved onto one of the paved pathways, and wandered around. The paths wound around trees and ponds and rest areas and over and under bridges
There was supposed to be a continental breakfast someplace. I headed towards the main lobby. My caffeine addiction had not been satisfied yet, and I was sure there would be coffee up there. and since it was early, something to eat for breakfast.
Funny thing. It seemed that no matter where I went I was climbing stairs or steep paths. I hadn’t noticed the night before I was on living at the bottom of a hill. The bell boy had given me a ride down to my room in a golf cart so I wouldn’t have to carry my bags.
I finally made it up to the level before the level before the lobby and found the pool. It looked inviting, but I trekked onwards to breakfast.
As I moved closer to the lobby, there were red flowers placed on each step and landing. “How tropical,” I thought. In Canada we have little pails of salt and sand to break up the ice…
And finally the lobby and breakfast and more coffee…
The last photo… sunset from my back yard
Next – my first day at the beach.
