Desperation

I really wanted a cigarette, because we had been gone for four or five hours by now.  But I wasn’t as desperate as Lois. The tied two life jackets to her so she would float above the water and set her out to sea.  She was tossed a smoke and a lighter, and tried her best to enjoy a smoke while she bobbed up and down on the waves.

the dolphins

Really.  There were dolphins.  Two bottlenose dolphins that followed along side of the boat for about 15 minutes.  The Captain said it was unusual for them to hang around a boat for so long, but that sometimes they just don’t have anything else to do and chasing a boat is as good as anything.

My little string of bad luck raised it’s head here again.  The battereis went dead on my camera.  All I got was a picture of a dolphin as he ducked under the water and the battery pooped out.  The little splash in the water is where he went under.

No – really – there were dolphins…  two of them… and we chased them out to sea..
