Hi Lee, I just wanted to say that I read your blog entry about the new internet “thing-a-ma-jiggy” and couldn’t help laughing. I found it so funny that I had to read it aloud to my girlfriend. Now, I don’t mean it was funny that you had such problems with your router. Or at least not directly. I’m sure at the time this was quite frustrating. However, what I found very funny is your descriptions of things like noting the amount of instruction booklets but not actually reading them and also the discussion with the help desk guy; this is so typical of an average technical support conversation. I could actually picture you smacking your hand to your face and dragging it down as the guy said “the problem is you’re not a registered user.” I couldn’t help but wonder if all those booklets would have actually helped solve the problem you had, based on how long that help guy had you on hold.
