How to build a bridge:

  1. Find a hole in the ground for the bridge to go over. If there are no available holes, dig one. Optionally, consider putting water in the hole if there is not already some there.
  2. Find scrap lumber. You will need some pieces that are at least 10 feet long.

I want to build a bridge over the goldfish pond I want to build. I want it to have an arch and I want it to look similar to the little bridges you see in Japanese or Chinese gardens.

Beginning renovations

Nothing cheers up a rainy day like power tools, sledge hammers, crowbars, dust and a wall that needs to be knocked down.

I was supposed to be landscaping today, but the weather is not exactly co-operating with any outdoor activities. So indoor fun and games were the only option.

Insulation

I got up early today, so that I could insulate my attic. The concept was that if I got started before 8:00 AM that it wouldn’t be too hot in the attic, and I would be done by noon.
